In Utilities I have 'Updated Copy Utility' which replaces 'Copy Utility' and I want to delete the old post. It generates an error..

Walt -- Can you help? Thanks, Erik.

The old post would only contain the new attachment already added to the new post.

I am asking Walt to release permission to access my old threads.

Erik.

For example,

'Updated Hex Editor' should replace 'Hex Editor'..

@eoredson,

I just created a new account, made a post to this thread, and was able to delete it without issue. How are you trying to delete your post? I used the little red 'X' at the bottom right of the post I wanted to delete.

So I am still a bit puzzled as to how everyone is having trouble deleting a post.

On a side note, you can not delete the first post of a thread, but you can "EDIT" it.

However, if everyone is referring to the threads they create, then the answer is no, you can not delete the posts. I have disabled that ability so other members posts are not deleted without their permission or knowledge.

OK I deleted my post here in this thread (between Erik's post#1 and now Erik's Post#2).
Maybe it was with first posts I was having trouble???
BTW, I never noticed red X but have always tried Delete inside Editor.

For those members who didn't recognize the delete post button at the bottom of your own posts, except for the first one in every thread, here is a screenshot of it:

There's no X delete button, because I can't delete the original post, only the replies??

@eoredson,

The first post in a thread can not be deleted since it is suppose to be what the thread is about. However, the first post can be edited if you want.

Another problem with Deleting Post here:

Could it be the board trying the delete from?

SEE! On this board I do have the red x delete button (the snap shot is from this board, not the board I am reporting the failure to show a delete button.)

BUT NOT HERE! http://qb64.thejoyfulprogrammer.com/show...90#pid5808
